Read & Write gold (R&WG) for MAC and Adobe PDF access
The PDF aloud toolbar does NOT come up with Adobe Reader 8 or 9; it seems to work only with Adobe 7. Therefore, to use the R&WG PDF aloud toolbar, the Adobe Acrobat version 7 should be installed on the system and set as the default program for opening PDF files. In addition, disabling the auto-update for Adobe is important to ensure that a new version does not get installed and become the default.
